These terms cover theoldhomeplace.shop, The Home Place Checklist and digital books sold under The Old Home Place. The seller and publisher is The Old Home Place. Questions may be sent to hello@theoldhomeplace.shop.
Digital products
The Mending Bench is a one-time purchase of digital files. It is not a subscription. Nothing is shipped. The checkout page shows the files and total charge before payment.
A payment processor handles payment and digital delivery. The terms shown during checkout also apply to that transaction.
Your license
A purchase gives one buyer a personal, non-transferable license to read the files and print a personal copy. You may not resell, redistribute, upload, publish or use the files as a commercial course or reference product.
Historical instruction and safety
The books teach documented household practices and discuss where older methods fail. They are educational material, not a substitute for current product instructions or a site-specific inspection.
- Use the current manual for every modern tool, adhesive, finish and chemical.
- Wear the protective equipment the material and tool require.
- Do not return a damaged repair to food-contact, load-bearing, electrical, fuel-burning or life-safety service.
- Stop when the material, finish or failure cannot be identified safely.
You remain responsible for deciding whether a project fits your tools, material and ability.
Accuracy
The publishing standard is a traceable historical record for historical claims and current guidance for safety. If you find an error, send the page and detail to hello@theoldhomeplace.shop so it can be checked and corrected.
Refunds
The 30-day refund policy is part of these terms. If you ask within that window, The Old Home Place issues the refund within two business days and you keep the files.
Site use
Do not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, or use its content in a way that violates these terms or applicable law. We may update or withdraw a page, correct an error or replace a file with a corrected edition.
